Privacy Policy

CoachApp ("we", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. Applies to the CoachApp iOS app and the getcoachapp.com website.

1. Data we collect

We collect the following data when you sign up and use the app:

• Account: email, full name, password hash (never the plain password).
• Created content: teams, players, calendar events, tactical schemes, scouting reports, medical entries, player wellness, uploaded videos/photos.
• Technical metadata: device model, iOS version, sync timestamps.
• Only if weather enabled: approximate event location (via Apple WeatherKit).
• Push notifications: APNs device token.

2. How we use your data

• Provide the app features (sync, staff collaboration, notifications).
• Sync your data across devices via the cloud backend.
• Send push notifications relevant to your team.

We never use your data for advertising profiling or sale to third parties.

3. Where it's stored

Data is hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL backend + Storage, AWS servers in Europe — Frankfurt). Passwords are managed by Supabase Auth with bcrypt. Files (videos/photos) are encrypted at-rest and in transit (TLS 1.3).

4. Third-party services

• Supabase (cloud backend) — privacy policy
• Apple WeatherKit (weather) — only if you enable the weather widget
• Apple APNs (push notifications) — device token
• Apple Sign In (optional login) — email hidden if you use "Hide My Email"

5. Your rights (GDPR)

• Access: export your data from Settings → Export CSV.
• Erasure: from the app Account → Delete account. Permanently deletes all data within 30 days.
• Rectification: edit your data from the app at any time.
• Objection: contact us at [email protected].

6. Player accounts (optional)

If you're a player invited by the staff, your data (wellness, attendance, notes) is only visible to your team's staff. We never share your data with other teams or third parties.

7. Minors

The app is aimed at adults (coaches) and their players. For players under 14 years old, parental/guardian consent is required before the staff can create a player account.

8. Cookies and tracking

The getcoachapp.com site uses only essential technical cookies. No advertising tracking, no third-party analytics, no profiling cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

Updates will be notified in-app and in the "Last updated" section at the top of this page. Material changes require re-consent at first post-update access.
